Happy Birthday America!
We celebrated America's birthday with a BBQ and fireworks! We had a great group of friends over and enjoyed Cajun chicken wings, short ribs, hot links and grilled asparagus. We followed up with an assortment of amazing "red, white and blue" themed desserts! Yum!
We lit off some fun kid friendly fireworks. The girls all got to play with sparklers (under adult supervision). The weather actually worked out perfectly for the fireworks, as the breeze took all the smell and smoke away from us. As the night grew darker, we laid back and watched as the neighborhood around us lit up the night. The two 'shows' we were between lit off displays that could rival a small towns display. They must spend A LOT of money and they probably traveled to pick some up from the nearest reservation. It was great not to fight the crowds and get such an amazing display!
We had a wonderful time and now Presley can't wait until next year. I can't wait until the boys can partake in the fun, wonderment and magic of the 4th of July!

The pictures were great and so was the food. I could almost taste each dish...go-o-o-d!
