April Fun and Sun

My, oh, my have we been busy since our last post. Tessa has been visiting us for the last three weeks. She leaves tomorrow to go back to North Carolina and man, will we miss her. We loved all the hanging out and running around we have been able to do. Presley, Tessa and I have been able to spend lots of quality girl time together!

We spent Easter Sunday with the Druffels and Hagedorns. We did a potluck dinner and did a mini egg hunt for the girls indoors (it was raining out). As usual, we had a great time! The girls really enjoyed the egg hunt and had a blast with the stickers and treats inside.

We also spent four days dealing with a miserably sick baby. She had a temperature between 102 and 103. Other than fluids and rest, there wasn't much to be done. We had a few days of downtime and cuddling before she was ready to take on the world!

We have been enjoying the great weather. We have had quite a few days of weather over 65 degrees. It has been great for the jogging, yard work, bike riding and playtime!

Jay has the yard coming along and the house is almost completely power washed. I will have the "garden" done tomorrow. I decided to do it almost exclusively in containers on the back deck to try to eliminate Titus interfering and the creatures of the wetlands eating off of it.

We went into Portland to attend the Tea Party. It was attended by a lot of people, but it was a little unorganized and it was hard to hear anything. We walked around and got the feel for what was going on. It was different and would have made more impact if there was a more specific central theme or speaker, oh well, better luck next time.

Presley has been busy learning where noses and toes are. We are in the process of getting rid of the bottle and formula. She loves being out doors. Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins got her a swing and she LOVES it. We got her a play kitchen and if you ask for coffee, she goes and gets the pot down. On the other hand, we have to teach her how to eat better, so she doesn't have to go visit the doctor. Her favorite form of eating is to chew until all the flavor is gone and then spit it out. She hasn't been gaining much weight lately but we will go back to check it at 15 months. We are also learning to deal with tantrums and independence!

We hope you all are enjoying the sunshine and springtime!
