We had a very fun, very fast and very on-the-go weekend. My parents recently reached their 30th wedding anniversary - Congrats Mom and Dad! To celebrate, they managed to drag all my brothers and three guests down to celebrate with a weekend in Portland! Presley had a blast sleeping in the hotel and swimming with Papa. We all had a great weekend filled with food and fun. On Saturday, we met up for the Portland Saturday Market, which is held under the Burnside Bridge. PSM is a great way to people watch and browse. Jen and Konner braved the evil hemp lady for hand tattoos (we won't recommend her for a future visit, they didn't last long). We stood in line for almost an hour for a Voodoo Doughnut. Jay tried the maple bar with bacon - I would stand in line another hour for another one! They have all sorts of fun and crazy donuts. If you haven't been, we highly recommend a stop! After a few hours of shopping downtown Portland and Lloyd Center, we headed back to the hotel for a swim. We all got back in the car to eat at Ringside! Since we first ate at Ringside many years ago, it has been a family favorite! On Sunday, we putzed around until it was time to meet for brunch at Shenanigans at the Red Lion. This place has an amazing champagne brunch! I even went for a mimosa! After a trip to Ikea and Cascade Station (sorry Jay, I know more shopping), we headed back to the hotel to relax and swim, again! We had a great time enjoying the company of my parents, my brothers and Kyle's girlfriend Jen. It was the first time since Christmas we had everyone together. Congrats Mom and Dad on 30 years!
On Monday, we took Presley, Colton and Casen down to Clackamas to the studio of Lindsey Wiatt. We have had Lindsey do Presley's pictures twice in the past and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get pictures done! She is great!!! It was pretty adventurous getting the boys sleepy enough to pose. It took a couple hours, two peed on parents, a sauna like room and a very patient photographer. Of course, by the time it was Presley's turn to jump in, we had a tired toddler. Thanks to Madi for entertaining her!
