There are many things I didn't think Presley, or any other two year old, would be doing, let alone doing them before she is two years old. Here are some of the things that continue to make us go 'WOW'!
1. Being able to conquer child locks.
2. Being able to work the DVD player. All the way from switching DVDs to getting a new one playing.
3. Being able to get dishwasher detergent from under the sink, put it in the dishwasher and start the wash cycle.
4. Being able to use an I Phone. She can make a call, turn on and off her applications, scroll through the pages, take pictures, take video and delete applications.
5. Her ability to use full sentences!
6. She is the most well mannered kid you can find. She understands and uses (more regularly than most grown ups) the words please, thank you and bless you. She also covers her mouth when she coughs almost all the time.
7. She can dress herself with very little help. She usually needs help with the arm holes, but everything else she can do.
8. She insists on climbing from the ground up into her car seat and putting her arms through the straps. She doesn't like it at all if you do any more than fasten the buckles.
9. Persistence.
10. She can count up to 15
11. She can sing the ABC song with assistance
12. She recognizes boats, airplanes, trains and school buses. This includes the sounds they make if she can't see them.
13. She knows her colors. Her favorite is blue and her second favorite is green.
14. She can put her own diapers on her babies. They would probably leak if the baby really used them, but they are on right.
15. Her memory! She knows the library, grocery store, Starbucks, daycare, the car wash and her friends houses. She also knows the names of people she relates to these places and what we do when we get there.
We got pretty lucky when we got this amazing little girl to call our own. The last two years have been challenging and we expect a lot more in the next two, but is has been an awesome journey and we are excited to continue it! In three weeks, we officially start the 'terrible twos'. I don't know if we are ready but ready or not, here we come!!!
She is definitely a keeper and "as cute as a button" as your great-grandma Hopkins would say.
ReplyDeletePresley is amazing because she has two amazing parents. You both should be so proud!
