Yakima Weekend

It is hard to believe but this was the first weekend we have spent in Yakima all summer long. We originally had this weekend planned as a boating weekend but as it turned out, my 10th reunion was also that weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't planned all that well and the major part of the get together was on Friday night before we got into town :( We did make it up to the Hop Festival late that night and I caught up with a couple classmates and a couple of old friends. It is amazing how much the Hop Festival has grown! It is HUGE!!!
On Saturday, we chose to go boating instead of the reunion BBQ. Good thing, we here there were 3 couple and no food! We headed up towards Desert Aire and had a great time! We got to wake board and wake surf. Presley had a hard time keeping the life jacket on. They just aren't designed to be comfy to a 16 month old. She did have a blast driving the boat. The water was only 69 degrees and although she loves to swim, it was just too cold.

Grandpa made cheesesteaks on Saturday night and we had some family friends over. It was a great night! Presley loved the cheesesteaks! We decided to skip the Hop Festival and just hang out and enjoy family!
On Sunday, we woke up and Presley and Grandpa made cupcakes! They were delicious! Presley also got her first ride on a horse. She wasn't to sure of it to start with but she loved it! She has her own horse, a pretty little guy named Elvis, who is only a two year old. Next spring, Grandpa will get to work making Elvis rideable for Presley! How exciting!

We all had a great weekend!!! When we got home, we picked some blueberries, looked at our almost ripe tomatoes and took pictures of our pumpkins!
