Merry Christmas Weekend!

We had a wonderful Christmas weekend and we hope you all did too!

As both Jay and I had to work Christmas Eve Day, we decided to mix things up in our Christmas rotation. We started a new tradition within our small family of having appetizers on Christmas Eve and opening our gifts to each other. We had a great night just the three of us, but we all said it was a little odd to not have family around. We had fondue, stuffed mushrooms and cheesecake for dinner. Jay and I had a blast watching Presley open her gifts and stockings. Everyone got some great things!

Christmas morning, we were up bright and early to head twenty minutes north to Grandma and Grandpa Weatherley's. We enjoyed the once a year caramel rolls. These are to die for! We opened stocking and presents in the morning. We spent the afternoon eating prime rib and putting together Presley's new pink tricycle! She loved being driven around. Hopefully, by the time my pregnant excuse for not being able to push her wears out, she will have mastered the art of pedaling herself! In the meantime, my back hurts :)

The day after Christmas we stopped at Starbucks bright and early to fill up the coffee mugs and away we went. Three hours later, we pulled into Yakima, just in time to hear the special news report saying Santa would be making a special pit stop in Yakima later that afternoon. Rumor has it, he forgot a special little girl. We had a great ham dinner with family and than Santa really did come back! Presley got to help him pass out some presents before she got down to the serious business of unwrapping. We had a great Saturday and Sunday in Yakima, just hanging out at home with everyone.

We hope that all your Christmas's were just as Merry and that you enjoyed the special time with family and friends. We also hope that everyone can ring in a safe and Happy 2010!!!

Opening presents at home.

One reason to love having a girl...the dress up bin :)

Merry Christmas All!

It was a long weekend. We were only about 8 minutes into our 3.5 hour drive when this happened...
